Pinned vs Stan: a store in your bio or a creator hub? (2026)

By The Pinned team · Updated October 21, 2026 · 8 min read

I build Pinned, so read this Pinned vs Stan comparison knowing I'm biased. I'll give you the short answer first anyway: if your bio is a business that sells courses, coaching, templates or memberships, Stan is the better tool, and Pinned can't replace it. Pinned doesn't sell anything.

If you stream, game or make content and mostly need a page that sends people to your channels, shows when you're live and helps you post, Pinned does more of that job. Its link in bio page is free, and the paid plan adds a scheduler and a media kit.

Below: what each one costs, what you pay on sales, where each is stronger, and who I'd send where.

What Stan is built for

Stan, often called Stan Store, is a storefront that sits in your bio. Your page lives at stan.store/username, and nearly every block on it is a product: a digital download, a course, a coaching call people book on your calendar, a recurring membership, a community, or a free lead magnet that collects emails. Plain links are there too, as URL products.

The Creator plan, at $29/month or $300/year, includes the store, booking, the course builder, memberships, analytics and Stan AutoDM, which sends your products to people through Instagram DMs. Creator Pro, at $99/month or $948/year, adds discount codes, upsells and order bumps, payment plans with Afterpay and Klarna, funnels, affiliate management, email broadcasts and flows, and ad pixels for Meta, Google, Pinterest and TikTok. The full split is on Stan's plan comparison.

Stan takes 0% of your sales on both plans. You still pay the processor: Stan's help center lists Stripe in the US at 2.9% + $0.30 per standard purchase, plus a payout fee of 0.25% + $0.25 (minimum $1). The details by country are in Stan's fee article.

Pinned is a link in bio page, a social media scheduler, analytics and a media kit builder in one web app. It started gaming first, so the page is built around streaming: a live badge that turns on by itself when you go live on Twitch or Kick, a weekly stream schedule, upcoming events with add-to-calendar buttons, a Discord invite card, clips and videos, and follower stats that sync on their own.

The free plan gives you pinned.gg/username, the live badge, and every theme and color, with a small Pinned mark. Creator adds the scheduler for up to 15 social accounts, a custom domain, no watermark, advanced analytics and a media kit with six templates. The scheduler posts to X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, LinkedIn, Bluesky and Discord today. TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest are coming, but they aren't live yet.

The catch: Pinned has no checkout, no downloads, no courses, no tips and no email signup forms. If you need any of those, it can't do the job.

2. Stan

Best for
creators whose bio is a business: courses, coaching, downloads, memberships
Price
Creator $29/month or $300/year; Creator Pro $99/month or $948/year; 14-day free trial
Sells products
Yes, with 0% Stan fees (Stripe or PayPal fees apply)

Stan is the focused product when selling is the point. Your products and their checkout live on one mobile-friendly page, and you can start selling during the trial as soon as Stripe or PayPal is connected. Coaching calls come with calendar booking, and courses get their own builder and analytics.

The catch is mostly price and plan limits. There is no free plan. Removing the Stan branding needs Creator Pro, and so do email broadcasts, discount codes and pixels. You can't connect a custom domain: Stan's help center says the URL stays stan.store/username and suggests forwarding your domain to it. The Stan app is iPhone and iPad only.

Where Stan is better

  • Selling, full stop. Downloads, courses, coaching, memberships and communities all work on the $29 plan. Pinned has none of them.
  • Keeping what you earn. Stan's cut is 0% on both plans. Some creator stores take a percentage of each sale on their cheaper plans.
  • Collecting emails. Stan has a lead magnet product on Creator, and email broadcasts and flows on Creator Pro. Pinned has no signup forms right now.
  • Selling through DMs. Stan AutoDM sends your products to people on Instagram automatically.
  • A phone app. Stan has an iOS app. Pinned is a web app that works on phones, with no native app.

Where Pinned is better

  • A free plan. Your page, the live badge and every theme cost nothing. Stan starts at $29/month.
  • Streamer and gamer blocks. The live badge, the stream schedule, events with add-to-calendar buttons and the Discord invite card are built in.
  • Posting from the same app. Creator includes a scheduler with a content calendar, first comments, per-platform captions and event reminders that post to your socials and Discord for you.
  • A media kit for sponsors. Six templates, stats pulled from your accounts, shared as a link and shown on your page.
  • Your own domain without the top plan. Pinned Creator includes a custom domain and removes the watermark. On Stan you can't connect a domain at all, and branding removal is $99/month.

Pricing compared

For a solo creator paying yearly, Stan Creator is $300/year and Creator Pro is $948/year. Pinned is $0 on Free and $390/year on Creator. Month to month, it's $29 or $99 for Stan and $39 for Pinned Creator. Stan's prices buy a store; Pinned's buy a page, a social media scheduler and a media kit.

If you sell and also want scheduling, the honest setup is both: Stan Creator for the store at $300/year and Pinned Creator for posting at $390/year, $690/year in total. Or keep one bill: use Pinned's free page for your links and the live badge, with your Stan store as the top link.

For a small team or an agency, Pinned Business is $100/month per brand with up to 10 team members, but that plan is about AI agents, email campaigns and SEO, which most people comparing Stan don't need.

My pick

If you sell, or plan to sell in the next few months, pick Stan. Start on Creator, and move to Creator Pro once email, discounts and upsells would earn back the extra $70/month. Pinned isn't built to be your checkout.

If you stream, game or post a lot and your bio is mostly links, pick Pinned. Start on the free plan, and only pay for Creator if you'll use the scheduler or the media kit.

If you do a bit of both, be honest about which job makes you money. For most sellers that is the store, so that is where your bio link should point.

Frequently asked questions

Is Stan Store free?

No. Stan has no free plan. You get a 14-day free trial on either plan, and you can cancel during the trial to avoid a charge. After that, Creator is $29/month or $300/year, and Creator Pro is $99/month or $948/year. You can sell during the trial once you connect Stripe or PayPal, so you can test it with real customers before you pay.

Does Stan take a cut of my sales?

Stan says it takes 0% of your sales on both plans and earns from the subscription instead. You still pay your payment processor. Stan's help center lists Stripe in the US at 2.9% + $0.30 per standard purchase, higher rates for Afterpay and Klarna, and a payout fee of 0.25% + $0.25 with a $1 minimum. PayPal and other countries have their own rates.

Can I sell products on Pinned?

No. Pinned has no storefront, digital downloads, courses, tips or payments, and no email or SMS signup collection right now. It is a link in bio page with a scheduler, analytics and a media kit. If you sell from your bio, use a store like Stan, and add a link to it on your Pinned page if you also want the live badge and stream schedule.

Can I use my own domain with Stan?

Not directly. Stan's help center says you can't connect a custom domain, and your store stays at stan.store/username. The workaround it suggests is a forwarding rule at your domain provider, which sends visitors from your domain to the Stan URL. Pinned includes a custom domain on its Creator plan, along with removing the Pinned watermark.
