The best social media scheduler for content creators (2026)

By The Pinned team · Updated October 24, 2026 · 8 min read

I'm the founder of Pinned, which makes me biased in any guide to the best social media scheduler for content creators. So here is how I'd choose if I were a creator and didn't make one of these apps. For most creators, the answer comes down to two things: whether TikTok and YouTube are core to your work, and whether you want your link in bio and media kit in the same bill as your scheduler.

If TikTok or YouTube is where you grow, Buffer or Later will serve you better than Pinned today, because Pinned doesn't publish to either yet. If you post mostly to Instagram, Threads, X (Twitter), Bluesky and LinkedIn and pitch brands, one Pinned plan covers the scheduler, link in bio page and media kit.

Why content creators need something different

A creator is a one-person media company. You film, edit, post, reply and pitch sponsors, usually on the same day. A scheduler built for a social team assumes someone else writes and someone else approves. You need the opposite: fast posting, one caption you can tweak per platform, and as few tools as possible.

A lot of your income also doesn't come from the platforms directly. It comes from brand deals, affiliate links and your own products, which means the link in bio page and the numbers you show sponsors matter as much as the queue. That's why I compare these tools on the whole stack, not on posting alone.

Price it for a real setup

Say you post to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, X and Pinterest: 6 accounts. Here is what each tool costs for that, from their pricing pages.

Buffer: 6 channels on Essentials is $30/month billed yearly or $36 month to month. Its Start Page link in bio counts as one more channel.

Later: Starter is $18.75/month billed yearly and covers one profile on each platform it supports, but it has no X and caps you at 30 posts per profile per month.

Post Bridge: $39/month covers all 6 with room for 9 more accounts.

Pinned: $39/month, but today it can only post to 3 of those 6 (Instagram, Threads and X). TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest are coming soon.

Metricool: Starter from $20/month billed yearly, plus $10/month for the X add-on.

1. Buffer

Best for
creators who want broad platform coverage and a free way to start
Price
Free for 3 channels; Essentials $5/channel/month billed yearly or $6 month to month; 14-day trial on paid plans
Posts to
Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube Shorts, Threads, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Bluesky, Mastodon, Substack

Buffer is the safe default, and I mean that as praise. It posts to more networks than anything else here (12), the free plan is real (3 channels, 10 scheduled posts per channel at a time), and its AI Assistant is on every plan. Essentials adds first comment scheduling, a hashtag manager, advanced analytics and reports.

The catch is the per-channel model. Each account you add raises the bill, and the Start Page counts as a channel too. There's no media kit, and Essentials has one user, so an editor needs the Team plan.

2. Later

Best for
visual creators who plan an Instagram grid and post to TikTok
Price
Starter $18.75/month billed yearly; Growth $37.50/month billed yearly; 14-day free trial
Posts to
Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Snapchat

Later still feels Instagram-first: visual planning, best time to post for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and Link in Bio on every plan. Later's Link in Bio can attach links to your Instagram and TikTok posts and show them as a clickable feed, which suits creators who drive affiliate clicks from posts.

The catch is the limits. Starter has 1 user, 5 AI credits a month and 30 posts per profile per month. Growth raises that to 180 posts per profile and 2 users. Later doesn't post to X or Bluesky, so text-first creators will feel the gap.

3. Pinned

Mine
Best for
creators on Instagram, Threads, X, Bluesky and LinkedIn who pitch brands
Price
Free link in bio page; Creator $39/month or $390/year with a 14-day free trial
Posts to
X, Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Discord, Shopify blog; TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and Google Business Profile coming soon

Pinned is built to be the one creator tool you pay for. Creator includes the scheduler for up to 15 accounts with unlimited posts and more than one account per platform, advanced analytics, a custom domain with no Pinned watermark, and a media kit builder with six templates. The media kit pulls stats from your connected accounts, or you type them in, and you share it as a link or show it on your page.

The link in bio page has sections you drag into order: links, clips and videos, YouTube and Rumble embeds, galleries, an FAQ, a contact form and auto-synced follower stats. One honest limit: it doesn't sell anything. No storefront, downloads, tips or email signups. If you sell from your bio, keep a commerce tool for that.

The bigger limit is TikTok and YouTube, which Pinned can't post to yet. If those are your main platforms, pick Buffer or Later and come back when they're live.

4. Post Bridge

Best for
short-form creators who post the same video to many accounts
Price
$39/month billed monthly or $390/year for 15 accounts, 7-day free trial
Posts to
X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Bluesky, Threads, Pinterest, Google Business

Post Bridge is a plain cross-poster, which is the point. Unlimited posts, carousel posts, bulk video scheduling, several accounts per platform, and an API and MCP connection if you like automating. Support comes from the founder.

What you give up: there's no link in bio page or media kit, analytics are still in beta, and Marketer is a single-user plan.

5. Metricool

Best for
creators who decide what to post from their numbers
Price
Free for 1 brand and 20 posts a month; Starter from $20/month billed yearly or $25 month to month
Posts to
Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile; X as a paid add-on

Metricool is an analytics tool with a good planner attached. You get Reels and Stories metrics, competitor tracking (5 profiles free, 100 on Starter), PDF and PPT reports you can hand a sponsor, Flows that turn comments into DMs, and SmartLinks for your link in bio.

The catch: the free plan skips LinkedIn and X, X costs $10/month per account on paid plans, and "unlimited" posting on Starter is subject to a fair use policy.

My pick

For most creators, I'd start on Buffer's free plan. It covers TikTok and YouTube Shorts, and you'll learn what you need before you pay. If your work is Instagram and TikTok visuals, Later is the better fit. If you make the same short video for a dozen accounts, Post Bridge is the cheapest way to do it.

I'd pick Pinned if your platforms are Instagram, Threads, X, Bluesky and LinkedIn and brand deals pay your bills: one $39 plan replaces a scheduler, a paid link in bio and a media kit tool. Data-first creators should try Metricool's free plan alongside whichever scheduler they choose.

What I'd do today

  1. List every account you post to and circle the 2 that earn you money. Any tool that can't post to both is out.
  2. Connect your top 3 channels to Buffer's free plan and run it for 2 weeks. It costs nothing and shows you what you miss.
  3. If brand deals matter, start the Pinned Creator trial and build a media kit from your connected accounts before your next pitch.
  4. Cancel whatever you didn't use before the trial ends.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest way to schedule posts to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube?

Buffer's free plan: 3 channels, so TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts fit exactly, with up to 10 scheduled posts per channel at a time. Metricool's free plan also covers those platforms for 1 brand, capped at 20 posts a month. Pinned can't post to TikTok or YouTube yet, so for that trio it isn't the right tool today.

Do I need a separate link in bio tool if my scheduler has one?

Often not. Later includes Link in Bio on every plan, Buffer has Start Page, Metricool has SmartLinks, and Pinned's link in bio page is free. Check what you need it to do first. If you sell products, downloads or tips from your bio, test that exact feature before you commit, and know that Pinned's page doesn't sell anything at all.

Can Pinned schedule TikTok or YouTube posts?

Not today. Pinned posts to X, Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, LinkedIn, Bluesky, Discord and Shopify blog articles. TikTok is in TikTok's app review, and YouTube and Pinterest are coming soon, but I won't pretend they're live. If either is central to your work, use Buffer, Later or Post Bridge for scheduling, and Pinned only if you want its link in bio page.

How many posts can I schedule per month on these tools?

It varies a lot. Later Starter allows 30 posts per profile per month and Growth 180. Buffer's free plan holds 10 scheduled posts per channel at a time, and paid plans are unlimited under fair use. Metricool's free plan allows 20 posts a month. Post Bridge and Pinned Creator give unlimited posts on paid plans.

Start with the free page

Pinned's link in bio page is free forever. When you want the scheduler and media kit, the Creator plan has a 14-day free trial for your first paid subscription, and you can cancel during the trial at no cost. Create your free page or see what each plan includes.

I checked prices and features for every product here on October 3, 2026. They change often, so double-check before you buy.
