Links are the buttons on your Link in Bio page that send visitors to your store, channels, videos or any other website. Add as many as you need, then group and reorder them.

  1. In the sidebar, click Link in Bio. You can also open the Link in Bio editor directly.

  2. On the Links tab, click Add.

  3. In the Add dialog, click Link.

  4. Find the new link at the top of your list, titled New link. It opens on its own, with the cursor in the Link field. Paste or type the website address there.

  5. In Heading, type the name visitors see on the button. The hint reads "Link heading".

  6. In Description, add a short line under the heading. This is optional. The hint reads "Add a short description (optional)".

  7. Click the pencil icon on the right of the row to close the editor.

To reopen a link later, click the pencil icon on its row (the tooltip reads Edit link).

Your edits are a draft until you publish them. See Publish your changes.

A link needs a website address with a dot in it, such as example.com. You can leave off https:// and the link still works. If you paste a full address and end up with https:// twice at the start, Pinned tidies it to one.

A new link has no address yet. While the field is empty, the row reads Add a URL to show this on your page, and the link stays off your page.

If you type an address that isn't valid:

  • The row gets a red outline and reads Add a valid website link to publish this.
  • Under the Link field, you see This link is hidden from your page until you add a valid website URL.

The link stays hidden until you fix the address.

A link with an image shows on your page as a card, with the heading and description over the picture.

  1. Open the link with the pencil icon.
  2. Click Add image and choose a picture from your device.
  3. Check the preview on the right. After you add an image, the button reads Change image. Click it to pick a different one.

Link images display as 16:9 cards. Use 1280 × 720 for best results.

Make the text easier to read

Once a link has an image, two more controls appear:

  • Black text gradient: darkens the bottom of the image behind the text. It's on by default.
  • Gradient darkness: a slider that shows a percentage. It appears while the gradient is on, and goes from 40% to 100%. It starts at 82%.

Turn Black text gradient off if your image is already dark enough behind the text.

A group is a heading that organizes the links beneath it. Use one to split a long list into sections, such as Support the stream.

Create a group

You have two ways to start a group:

  • Click Add, then click Group. The new group appears at the top of your list, named New group.
  • Open a link with the pencil icon and click the folder icon with a plus (the tooltip reads Add a group). Pinned wraps a new group around that link.

Rename a group

  1. Click the group's heading, which has a small pencil icon beside it.
  2. Type the new name.
  3. Press Enter or click outside the field.

Group headings display in capital letters in the editor. That is only styling.

  1. Find the group in your list.
  2. Click Add link under the group's last row. On an empty group, it sits under the heading.
  3. Fill in the new link's details as described above.

Which items can go in a group

Links and the Events element can sit inside a group. Other page elements, such as the Stream schedule, always stay outside groups. See Add elements to your page for the full list.

Reorder, move and delete

  1. To reorder, drag a row by the grip icon (six dots) on its left edge. Rows slot into place as you drag.
  2. To put an item in a group, drag it onto the group's heading. It lands as the first item in the group. To take it out, drag it below the group's last item.
  3. To move a whole group, drag the grip icon beside its heading. The group's items move with it.
  4. To delete a link, click the trash icon on its row (the tooltip reads Delete link).
  5. To delete a group, click the trash icon beside its heading. The heading is removed and the links inside stay on your page.

If you change your mind, click the undo icon at the top of the editor (the tooltip reads Undo last change).

Publish your changes

Nothing goes live until you publish. Click the publish button at the top right of the editor. Your changes are live once the button reads Published. For more on drafts, see Build your Link in Bio page.

Troubleshooting

Open the link and check its Link field. If it's empty, or the row has a red outline, the address is missing or invalid. Fix it, then publish.

I can't see the Add image button

Open the link first. Click the pencil icon on its row.

An element won't stay inside my group

Only links and Events can sit inside a group. If you drop another element onto a group heading, it settles just above the group.
