Plan & billing in Account settings shows which plan you're on, what you'll be charged and when. You use it to upgrade, downgrade, switch between monthly and annual billing, add brands on Business, update your card, or cancel.

Open Plan & billing

  1. In the sidebar, click Settings.

  2. In the menu on the left of Account settings, click Plan & billing. On a narrow screen the menu is hidden, so scroll down to the Plan & billing card instead.

You can also go straight to Settings.

Plan changes apply as soon as you make them. You don't need to click Save changes.

Read your current plan

The first row shows your plan name and price, a status label, and a one-line description of the plan. On Business, the price shows the per-brand price times your brands, for example "$100/mo per brand × 2 brands = $200/mo". The status is one of these:

StatusWhat it means
ActiveYour plan is running and billing normally.
Free trialYou're in your 14-day trial. The line below shows when the trial ends and what you'll be charged then.
CancelledYou've cancelled. The line below shows the date your access ends.
ComplimentaryPinned gave you the plan. There are no charges and nothing to manage.

The highlighted line under that row tells you what happens next. On the Free plan it reads "You're on the Free plan, no upcoming charges. Upgrade anytime to unlock paid features." On a paid plan it shows your next billing date and the amount you'll be charged.

Choose Monthly or Annual billing

Under Change plan, the switch has two options: Monthly and Annual. Annual is labeled 2 months free: you pay for ten months and get the year.

PlanMonthlyAnnual
Creator$39/mo$390/yr, instead of $468
Business$100/mo per brand$1,000/yr per brand, instead of $1,200

The plan cards show the price for the option you pick. If you already pay for a plan, the switch starts on the option you pay on. Annual plans renew yearly, and Pinned emails you a reminder 30 days and 5 days before.

Upgrade your plan

  1. Under Change plan, choose Monthly or Annual.
  2. Find the plan you want and click Upgrade.
  3. Follow the checkout screens to finish.

Your first paid subscription, Creator or Business, starts with a 14-day free trial. You aren't charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel any time during the trial at no cost. While you're on the trial, your status reads Free trial.

If you pick Business, checkout lets you adjust the number of brands before you pay. A new Business subscription starts with one brand.

If you already have a paid subscription, Upgrade, Downgrade and Resume open the Stripe billing page instead of checkout. You switch plans there. Upgrades apply right away and are prorated.

Compare plans before you choose

  1. At the bottom of Plan & billing, click Compare plans.

  2. Read what each plan includes. Switch between Monthly and Annual to see both prices.

  3. Click Upgrade on a plan to start, or click the X icon in the top right corner to close the window.

The plan marked Current is the one you're on.

Add or remove a brand (Business)

Business is priced per brand. A brand is a workspace with its own connected accounts, team, agents, and SEO tool. Your plan includes one brand, and each further workspace is another brand on your subscription. You can have up to 25 brands. To work with the workspaces themselves, see Work with workspaces and teams.

On the Business plan, a row under your current plan shows how many brands you have and the price per brand.

  1. In Plan & billing, find the brands row.
  2. Click Add a brand or Remove a brand.
  3. Read the confirmation message, which shows your new total, and confirm.

The button reads Updating… while the change is made. When you add a brand, it's prorated for the rest of the billing period and invoiced right away. When you remove one, the unused time is credited to your next invoice.

Remove a brand is unavailable when you have one brand, and Add a brand is unavailable at 25.

On a Complimentary Business plan, the row shows your brand allowance and has no buttons.

Update your card and manage invoices

If you see Billing managed by Stripe, click Manage billing. It opens a billing page where you can update your card, switch plans, cancel, or download invoices.

Downgrade your plan

  1. Under Change plan, find the plan you want to move to.
  2. Click Downgrade.
  3. If you have a subscription, the Stripe billing page opens. Pick the new plan and confirm there.

A downgrade takes effect at your next billing cycle, so you keep what you've paid for until then.

Cancel or resume your subscription

To cancel, click Cancel subscription at the bottom of Plan & billing. If your billing is managed by Stripe, the billing page opens and you cancel there. Otherwise, confirm in the message that appears.

After you cancel, your status reads Cancelled and you keep your access until the date shown. No further charges are made.

To change your mind before that date, click Resume subscription.

Cancel subscription isn't shown on the Free plan or on a Complimentary plan.

What happens when a paid plan ends

Your page stays live and nothing is deleted. Paid features, such as the scheduler and your workspaces, pause until you upgrade again.

For what each plan includes, see Choose a plan and upgrade.
