Agents are four assistants that draft posts and emails, audit your blog, watch competitors and report on your numbers. Use them to hand off routine work, then review what they propose. Nothing is posted, sent, or changed without your click.
Note
Available on the Business plan.
On the Free and Creator plans, the page shows Agents are a Business feature with an Upgrade to Business button. See Choose a plan and upgrade.
Before you start
What each task needs depends on what it does:
- An AI model. Agents need one to write. See Connect your own AI model.
- A connected account, for tasks that read or post to your social accounts. See Connect your social accounts.
- The SEO Tool, for tasks that work on your blog articles. See Set up the SEO Tool.
If something is missing, the task's Run button is replaced by a link to fix it. See Troubleshooting below.
Open Agents
In the sidebar, click Agents.
Read the line under the heading. It shows how many manual runs you have left today, such as "14 manual runs left today", followed by the AI model in use once one is connected.
Below the heading you'll find the agent tabs and task cards, then your Runs list, then Agent settings and Content profile.
Pick an agent
The tabs under the heading are the four agents. Click a tab to see its task cards.
| Tab | What it does | Tasks |
|---|---|---|
| Social Media Assistant | Drafts, plans, and answers in your voice. | Content Repurposer, Calendar Planner, Post Series, Brand Voice, Community Manager |
| SEO Manager | Audits, keywords, refreshes, and links for your blog. | SEO Audit, Keyword Strategist, Content Refresher, Internal Linker |
| Data Analyst | Watches competitors, trends, and your numbers. | Competitor Watcher, Analytics Reporter, Trend Researcher, Evergreen Recycler |
| Email Marketer | Plans a week to a month of email campaigns in your saved formats, for your approval. | Plan email campaigns |
A small number on a tab shows how many runs from that agent are queued or running.
Each task card shows what the task does, how its last run went (or Never run), and a Run button. Tasks that can repeat also have a Schedule switch. For a closer look at each agent, see Use the Social Media Assistant, Use the SEO Manager agent, Use the Data Analyst agent and Plan emails with the Email Marketer.
Run a task
- Click the tab of the agent you want.
- On the task's card, click Run.
- If a form opens, fill it in and start the run. Click Close to put the form away. Community Manager and Evergreen Recycler need no form and start right away.
- Watch the card. While the task works, the button reads Running… and you can't start the same task again.
The run appears at the top of your Runs list. A run that is waiting reads Queued — usually done within a minute, and one in progress reads Working…. When it finishes, the list shows a short summary.
You can start up to 15 manual runs a day, and each run takes about two minutes. Scheduled runs don't use up your manual runs. For forms, statuses and schedules in detail, see Run and schedule agent tasks.
Find your results
- The Runs list: click Open run on a row to see everything the run produced. That page is where you click to schedule, send, copy, approve or dismiss what the agent proposed.
- Calendar: posts and emails your agents propose appear on the Calendar so you can review them by date. See Plan with the content calendar.
- Home: the Agents card on your home dashboard shows your newest runs and lets you start a task.
To remove a finished run from the list, click the trash icon on its row (hover text Delete this run).
Fill in Agent settings
Agent settings tell the agents who you are so their drafts and reports fit. The card is closed until you open it.
Scroll to Agent settings and click its header to open it.
In Niche, write one line on who you are and what you make. The hint shows an example: "Valorant streamer who reviews gaming gear".
In Site URL, enter your website address. The audit uses it when you have no SEO brand.
Under Topics, type a topic and press Enter or click Add. The Trend Researcher watches these. You can add up to 6.
Under Competitors, click Add competitor to add each one. The Competitor Watcher checks them weekly, and their sites also feed the Keyword Strategist. You can add up to 5.
Under Preferred platforms, tick the platforms drafts should be written for first. Platforms you haven't connected are marked · not connected. If you pick none, drafts go to every connected platform.
Turn on Email digests if you want scheduled competitor and analytics reports emailed to your account address, at most once a day each.
Click Save settings.
The button stays dimmed until you change something. While you have unsaved edits, Unsaved changes appears in the card's header and Discard appears next to the button. After a save you see Saved · times use this device's timezone.
If you leave the card closed, it shows your niche, or a reminder to fill the settings in.
Turn on auto-reply
Auto-reply is off by default. When it's on, the Community Manager sends a fixed reply to plain thank-you mentions without waiting for you. Everything else waits for your click.
- In Agent settings, turn on the Auto-reply switch.
- In Auto-reply text, write the reply. It's sent word for word. It can't contain links, @handles or #tags, and it can be up to 120 characters.
- Set Max per run (1 to 5) and Max per day (1 to 50).
- Click Save settings.
Warning
Auto-reply is the one case where an agent sends something without a click from you. Leave it off if you want to approve every reply.
Give agents your voice and style
Below Agent settings, Content profile holds how your workspace writes: voice, words to avoid, hashtags, examples, and calls to action every agent follows.
On the Social Media Assistant tab, the Voice check box scores a draft against your voice. It becomes available once you've run Brand Voice.
Tips
- Agents work per workspace. If you use a workspace, runs, schedules, settings and the voice they learn belong to that workspace. Posts you schedule from a run go to that workspace's accounts. See Work with workspaces and teams.
- Schedules run in this device's timezone and pause after three failures in a row. A paused schedule shows Paused: with its reason and a Resume button.
- All your schedules share 30 scheduled runs a day. If they add up to more, the page warns you, and schedules due later that day are skipped until 00:00 UTC. Slow down a frequent schedule or turn some off.
- Emails you approve from the Email Marketer become draft campaigns. Nothing is scheduled until you schedule it.
Troubleshooting
The page says No AI model connected yet.
Agents need an AI model before they can start. Connect your own key on the Connections page, then come back. See Connect your own AI model. Until then, task cards show Connect an AI model instead of Run.
A task shows Connect an account instead of Run
The task reads or posts to your social accounts and you haven't connected one. Click Connect an account, connect a platform, and return to the page. See Connect your social accounts.
A task shows Set up the SEO Tool instead of Run
The task works on your blog articles. Click Set up the SEO Tool and follow Set up the SEO Tool.
The page says Couldn't load your agents
Click Retry next to the message. If it keeps failing, refresh the page. If it still doesn't load, write to support@pinned.gg.
A task is stuck on Running…
A task can only run once at a time in a workspace. Give it a minute, since runs usually finish within about two minutes. The card and the Runs list update on their own.
