A workspace groups some of your connected accounts, the people you invite to work on them, and its own SEO Tool. Use workspaces when you run more than one brand or want teammates to schedule and publish for you.
Note
Available on the Business plan. Each workspace is a brand on your subscription.
Before you start
- Be on the Business plan. See Choose a plan and upgrade.
- Connect the accounts you want to group. See Connect your social accounts.
- Ask your teammates to create a Pinned account first, so you can invite them. See Create your Pinned account.
Create a workspace
You can create a workspace from the Connections page or from the side menu.
From the Connections page
- In the side menu, click Connections.
- Scroll to Workspaces & teams.
- Click the name field, which shows the hint "New workspace name (e.g. "Gaming", "Brand deals")", and type a name.
- Click Create workspace. The button reads Creating… while Pinned saves it.
Your new workspace appears in the list with its name and an account count.
From the side menu
At the top of the side menu, open the workspace switcher.
Choose + New workspace….
In the New workspace dialog, type a name in the field with the hint "Workspace name (e.g. "Gaming", "Brand deals")". Names can be up to 60 characters.
Click Create workspace.
Pinned switches every page to the new workspace as soon as it's created. The dialog's Connections page link takes you to where you add accounts and teammates.
Add your accounts to a workspace
Open Connections and scroll to Workspaces & teams.
Find your workspace. Under its name you see a button for each account you've connected.
Click an account to add it. The button is highlighted when the account is in the workspace.
Click a highlighted account again to take it out.
The count next to the workspace name, such as "0 accounts", updates as you add accounts. An account you've deactivated shows "(inactive)" after its name.
If you haven't connected anything yet, the workspace says "Connect some socials above to add them to this set." Connect an account first, then come back.
Invite a teammate
- In your workspace, find the Team heading. You're listed first with an Owner tag.
- Click the field with the hint "Invite by email or @username" and enter your teammate's email or Pinned username.
- To let them see this workspace's stats, tick Let them view this set's analytics too.
- Click Invite. The button reads Inviting… while it sends.
Your teammate appears in the Team list with the tag Invited, or Invited · analytics if you ticked the box. Click Cancel next to them to withdraw the invite.
What teammates can do
Once they accept, teammates schedule and publish to the workspace's accounts from their own Pinned account. They can also work in the workspace's SEO Tool. They never see your login or tokens.
Teammates can post to accounts on X, Threads, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, Discord, Bluesky, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Google Business. Twitch and Shopify stay yours. Team members publish to a store's blog only if they connected it themselves.
A teammate sees the workspace's analytics only if you allow it.
Choose which accounts your team can post to
By default, teammates can post to every shared account in the workspace. You can switch individual accounts off.
- On the Connections page, find your workspace under Workspaces & teams.
- Below the invite field, find the heading that starts with "Team members can post to". It shows a count such as "2 of 2": the accounts your team can use out of the accounts you can share.
- Click an account to stop your team from posting to it. Click it again to let them post to it.
You can always post to every account in your workspace yourself. This section only appears when the workspace has at least one account a team can share.
Change a teammate's analytics access
- In the Team list, find the teammate.
- Click + Analytics to let them view the workspace's analytics. The button changes to ✓ Analytics.
- Click ✓ Analytics to take that access away again.
Remove a teammate
- In the Team list, find the teammate.
- Click Remove next to their name.
They disappear from the Team list and no longer work with the workspace's accounts.
Accept or decline an invite
Anyone can accept an invite, whatever plan they're on. The workspace owner pays for Business.
- In the side menu, click Connections.
- Under Workspaces & teams, find the card saying who invited you to which team.
- Click Accept to join, or Decline to turn it down.
After you accept, the team shows in the list with the owner's name and its accounts. The accounts highlighted on the card are the ones the owner lets the team post to. To schedule to them, pick the workspace in the post composer. See Create and schedule a post.
The team's card also tells you whether you can view its stats on the Analytics page, or that the owner hasn't enabled analytics access for you.
Leave a team
- On the Connections page, find the team under Workspaces & teams.
- Click Leave.
- Confirm when Pinned asks. You lose access to the team's accounts.
If that team was your selected workspace, Pinned switches you back to your personal workspace.
Switch workspaces
- At the top of the side menu, open the workspace switcher.
- Choose a workspace. Ones you own show a 👥 icon before the name. Teams you joined also show the owner's name.
- Choose Personal (all accounts) to go back to seeing every account you've connected.
Every page narrows to the workspace you pick. The same switcher also appears at the top of pages that follow your selection, such as Home.
Each workspace has its own SEO Tool, with its own brands, keywords and drafts. See Set up the SEO Tool. The Analytics page also follows your selection. See Track your analytics.
Delete a workspace
- On the Connections page, find the workspace under Workspaces & teams.
- Click Delete.
- Read the confirmation and confirm.
Your connections stay. The grouping, its team, and its SEO Tool data (brands, keywords, drafts) are removed.
Add more brands
Each workspace is a brand on your subscription. Below your workspaces, Pinned shows how many brands you've used, such as "1 of 10 brands used", with an Add a brand link.
- Click Add a brand. It opens the billing section of your settings.
- Follow the steps there. See Manage your plan and billing.
- Return to Connections and create your workspace.
Tips
- A team can have up to 10 people besides you, counting invites that are still pending.
- Name workspaces after the brand or the kind of work, like "Gaming" or "Brand deals".
- Adding an account to a workspace doesn't take it out of your personal view.
- An account you add back to a workspace after removing it starts open to your team again.
Troubleshooting
I see an upgrade message instead of the create field
Workspaces need the Business plan. Click Upgrade to Business and follow the prompts.
Creating a workspace shows a brand limit message
Every brand on your subscription already has a workspace. Click Add a brand next to the message to get more.
I can't add any accounts
The workspace has nothing to pick from until you connect an account. Open Connections, connect one under Social integrations, then try again.
A teammate can't post to one of the accounts
Check that the account is switched on in the "Team members can post to" section. Twitch and Shopify accounts can't be used by teammates.
