Create your Pinned account

Create a Pinned account to claim your page at pinned.gg/ followed by your handle. You can sign up with email, Google or X, then choose your handle and display name. Every plan, Free included, can do this.

About your handle

Your handle is your page's address. If your handle is nightowl, your page lives at pinned.gg/nightowl. It's where fans find you, so pick one you're happy to share.

Pinned checks your handle as you type and tells you whether it's free. See What the handle messages mean below.

Sign up with email

1. Open the sign-up page. On the Welcome to Pinned screen, click Continue with email.

2. In Your handle, type the name you want for your page. The hint inside the field reads "yourname".

   

3. In Email, type your email address.

4. In Password, type a password of at least 8 characters. Click the eye icon at the right of the field to show or hide what you typed.

5. Check the strength bar under the password. It reads Too short, Weak, Fair, Good or Strong as you type. It's a guide only; the 8-character minimum is what's required.

6. Optional: tick the marketing emails checkbox if you want occasional news, tips and offers from Pinned. It's off by default, and you can withdraw it any time in account settings.

7. Click Create my free page. The button reads "Creating your page…" while Pinned sets up your account.

By continuing, you accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which are linked below the form.

If something is wrong, a red message appears above the button:

• "Pick a handle for your page." means the handle field is empty.
• "Pick a handle that's available." means the handle is taken or not allowed. See What the handle messages mean below.
• "Enter your email and a password of at least 8 characters." means the email is empty or the password is too short.
• "That email already has a Pinned account." means you already signed up with that address. Click Log in instead next to the message.

Sign up with Google or X

1. On the Welcome to Pinned screen, click Continue with Google or Continue with X.
2. Follow the prompts from Google or X to approve the sign-in.
3. You arrive at the setup screen, Claim your handle. Continue with Claim your handle and choose a display name below.

If you already typed a handle in the email form, Pinned carries it over to the setup screen. The marketing emails checkbox works the same way for Google and X sign-ups.

Verify your email

If you signed up with email, Pinned sends a verification link to your address and shows the Verify your email screen.

1. Open the email from Pinned and click the link to confirm your address.
2. Back on Pinned, click Continue setting up my page. You don't have to wait for the email to carry on with setup.

If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder, then click Resend the email. The button changes to Verification email resent ✓ once it's sent.

If you open the link while you're logged out, you land on the login page with the message "Your email is verified. Log in to pick up where you left off."

Claim your handle and choose a display name

Setup has two steps. The first is your handle, the second is your display name.

1. On the Claim your handle screen, look at Your handle. It's already filled in with the handle you chose when you signed up. Change it if you like.

   

2. Read the message under the field to see whether the handle is free.

3. When the handle is available or already yours, click Continue. The button stays dimmed until then.

4. On the What should we call you? screen, type your name in Display name. The hint reads "e.g. Night Owl". Your display name is shown on your page, and you can change it any time. Click Back if you want to return to your handle.

5. Click Build my page. The button reads "Saving…" while Pinned saves your details.

When it's saved, you go straight into the Link in Bio editor to start building your page. See Build your Link in Bio page.

If Pinned can't save your details, you see "Couldn't save. Try again." Click the button again.

What the handle messages mean

Log back in

1. Open the login page. On the Welcome back screen, choose how you signed up.

2. If you signed up with Google or X, click Continue with Google or Continue with X and use the same account.

3. If you signed up with email, click Continue with email.

4. In Email or username, type your email address or your handle. A leading @ on a handle is fine.

5. In Password, type your password. Click the eye icon to show it.

6. Click Log in. The button reads "Logging in…" while Pinned checks your details.

Reset a forgotten password

1. On the Welcome back screen, click Continue with email, then click Forgot password? under the password field.
2. On the Reset your password screen, type your email in Email.
3. Click Send reset link.
4. When you see Check your inbox, open the email from Pinned. The reset link works for 1 hour. Check your spam folder if it doesn't show up.
5. Click the link. On the Set a new password screen, type a new password in New password. The hint reads "At least 8 characters".
6. Type it again in Confirm new password.
7. Click Save new password. You return to the login page, and your old password stops working immediately.

For privacy, Pinned shows Check your inbox whether or not an account exists for that email. If no email arrives, check that you typed the address you signed up with.

Troubleshooting

Google or X sign-in doesn't work

You may see a message such as "Google sign-in isn't available yet — use email below for now." Click Continue with email and use the email form instead.

The login says my details are wrong

Check the email or handle and the password for typos, using the eye icon to see what you typed. If you left a field empty, you see "Enter your email or username, and your password." If you signed up with Google or X, use that button instead of the email form. If you've forgotten your password, follow the steps in Reset a forgotten password.

The reset link is invalid or has expired

You see "That reset link is invalid or has expired. Request a new one below." Enter your email again and click Send reset link to get a fresh link.

The reset form shows an error

• "Password must be at least 8 characters." Choose a longer password.
• "Passwords don't match." Retype the same password in both fields.
• "Enter the email you signed up with." Check the address you typed on the Reset your password screen.
